Were we nervous about yesterday's ice accumulation?
More than we're willing to admit.
Were we beyond relieved to see that bright orb in the sky rise on a clear morning today?
More than even we realized.
Seeing the ice dripping and melting this morning has been a welcome sight and sound as we face an ominous weekend forecast.
Whether we get one to two feet of snow (or more!) depending on what forecast you believe, we are hoping for a day of melting today. Temps won't get much above freezing, but the sun is our friend and ally in this.
On the farm, in the greenhouse, and in the market, we're all systems go.
We've been working on burying new irrigation lines outside, preparing for Pi Day in the Market (free pie this weekend in the market!), and seeding and tending to our plant babies in the greenhouses!
We've harvested hundreds of pounds of FRESH SPINACH and the plants are waking up!
We know tomorrow might be snow-filled, but today (Thursday) and Saturday are looking excellent.
We'll see you soon! And please keep on shining, Mr. Sun!
