This weekend, we were beyond blessed to be gifted a room at the Inn at Bay Harbor. We left the foster love and fur daughter with anita_vanderziel (thanks doesn’t even cut it, mom!), and headed north. We didn’t talk about the foster care system. We didn’t talk about the drama in our house. We simply enjoyed each other’s company, set goals for 2020, saw Little Women at the lyricharborsprings (Eek!), ate great food, and hiked the North Country Trail. It was exactly what my soul needed. We are refreshed and ready for 2020!

What an amazing and fun first trip to Michigan! A little cold for the AZ girl, but it was still so much fun, and I had my own tour guide! Saw two of our favorite country artists in concert at fordfield and were able to celebrate our first anniversary together at a beautiful hotel on Lake Michigan’s shores. Snuck up the Upper Penninsula, Petoskey and Traverse City for our yearly up North trip. Our boy had such a good time! He is so brave and went down the big water slides all by himself at Great Wolf Lodge. 😐 I couldn’t believe it!
Side note, highly recommend taking your kiddos to oswalds_bear_ranch in Newberry! James and I have been going for about 4 years and we got to meet the owners this week! Precious people who truly love the Lord. Mrs. Oswald took to Tucker pretty quickly and was so kind to him & gave him a few gifts from the shop. It’s places like this that make the best memories!
